Public Meeting - June 10th

The Planning Public Meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 10th in Picton at the Community Centre, next to the Picton Arena. There will be a public session between 5:30- 6:45 pm, that will provide an opportunity to ask the consultants about the various (ten) reports that were included in the zoning application.

Participation in the Rental Pool

We were asked to clarify the rental pool arrangement for Summer Village on East Lake.

Participation in the Rental Pool is mandatory for all 237 Unit Owners. Except for use by an Owner or an Owner’s immediate family, the cottages will only be available for occupancy through the Rental Pool, which will be managed by the Resort Operator.

Based on past experience, it is anticipated that more than 40% of the cottages will be available for rental by the traveling public at any given time. This large pool of tourist accommodation will insure the financial viability of the Resort Operator, while generating significant rental income for the Unit Owners. This income will allow the Owners to offset their ownership costs, which will make ownership affordable for a wide cross section of society.

The Unit Owners will get to enjoy ownership of property in the County, which means more long term tourist visits for the County; and the travelling pubic will have a large pool of new roofed tourist accommodation. This will greatly enhance the County’s tourist industry.
